It’s not by chance that it is named the green lung, because Parco Sempione is the biggest park in Milan. Not far from Brera and simply reachable from Piazza Duomo by foot, the district, that takes its name from the namesake park, is one of the most beautiful ones in the city. Today we want to make you spend an entire day discovering its most beautiful places.
The morning starts in our bright Cirillo Apartment, which is located just a few steps from the wonderful and majestic Arco della Pace.
After settling in your new house, you are ready to go out and enjoy the beauties of the city!
After a short walk, you will arrive at the Triennale di Milano, which is located inside Palazzo dell’Arte, built in 1935 by Giovanni Muzio. You can immediately take a break at the Triennale design Cafè for a quick breakfast, before going into the world of culture and design inside the Triennale Design Museum.
There, you will discover the excellences of the Italian design: this 9th edition, Women in the Italian Design, that can be visited until February 19th, will recall the history of the Italian design through a female look, that underlines theories and projects between the XX and the XXI Century.
After visiting the Museum, it will almost be lunch time. At Maido, you will try the famous Japanese Okonomiyaki, the most famous street food dish in Osaka.
Okonomiyaki means “as you like”. It’s an omelette made of flour, cabbage and eggs, cooked on a specific slab, to which are added many different ingredients. Then, the dish is completed with a special okonomi sauce (a Japanese mayonnaise).
With the park all around, the desire of taking a walk after lunch is uncontrollable, so why not getting lost in it?
Walking by the shadow of big oaks, discover the little lake where ducks swim and cross the famous Ponte delle Sirenette… So romantic for a walking in couple!
After a full immersion in the nature, why not spending some time doing shopping? The Orangorilla shop is a place where the main thought is taste at affordable prices. There you will find refined and particular objects for each taste.
Before heading to the happy hour, you can enter into the Arco Parco, a small but pretty fashion atelier of jewels, created by the owner entirely by hand. It’s impossible to leave empty-handed!
For the happy hour, we want to make you try something new! Duomo dal 1952 is the right place where experiencing the true Sicilian tastes, accompanied by a good cocktail.
The true strong point there, are the sweets: ice creams, cannoli, granita, cakes. Why not taking away a small delicacy and tasting it in the apartment?
